Showing Love Through Service
Mugume Arnold
“Hello, my name is Mugume Arnold. I’m one of the founders of Cosmic Compassion Ministries, living in Rwamwanja, Kamwenge district, Uganda. Born and raised in Kabuga, Kamwenge district, I’ve always been driven by a passion to serve humanity and uplift spirits.
My parents’ decision to migrate from Kabuga to Rwamwanja was initially driven by the pursuit of economic opportunities and a better life. They sought to establish a business and improve our family’s livelihood. However, this move had a profound impact on my life. Living in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement exposed me to the struggles and triumphs of refugees and host community members alike. I witnessed firsthand the resilience and strength of individuals in the face of adversity.
Through my journey, I’ve come to understand that every successful person has a painful story behind them. Yet, it’s in these moments of struggle that we discover our purpose. For me, that purpose was found in the teachings of The Urantia Book, which instilled hope and courage in my heart. As the book so beautifully puts it, “The kingdom of heaven is not a realm of material glory; it is rather a spiritual fellowship of believers in the heavenly Father’s love for men.”
This profound truth has been my guiding light, inspiring me to dedicate my life to serving others. As I grew, I realized that true fulfillment lies not in self-centered pursuits, but in serving others. I believe that serving the suffering souls is a way of serving God, as the book reminds us, “The Father’s love for the Son knows no bounds.” and that we can reflect that love through our service to others.”
